Born in the age of COVID-19, Festoon Theatre Company saw a need in the Non-Professional Theatre world for a company that focussed on diverse and non traditional casting, smaller casts and lesser performed shows. To complement this we will be looking at performing at new and unconventional venues in London!
The team have over 40 years combined experience in amateur theatre, both performing in and producing many musicals in multiple venues.
Festoon Theatre Company are dedicated to producing innovative, high quality and lesser performed shows with diverse casting choices and bringing them to London audiences!
We are also dedicated to having many different voices driving the creative side, so please do get in touch if you have an interest in Directing, Choreographing or Musically Directing with us!
Matt has been in involved in amateur theatre since he was 5, performing in shows with his Nan! Since then he has been involved with lots of companies in Wales and London both on and off the stage, as well as taking an active role in company committees! He is also trained makeup and wigs which he loves to bring to each production! He is so excited to launch Festoon Theatre Company and bring diversely driven non-professional theatre to London!
Cristina has lived in London for over a decade after moving here for “2 years” in 2010 from Dublin. She has always been involved in amateur dramatic societies from performing in musicals and choirs to front of house, producing shows and serving on committees. She is so excited to launch Festoon Theatre Company at a time where the arts are needed more than ever and expects to have many adventures with the fantastic team putting on exceptional amateur productions.
Whilst studying Music at the University of Birmingham, George was involved in a number of student productions of musical theatre and opera, and has performed for a number of years with top UK choruses and musical theatre groups since moving to London. She is delighted to be launching Festoon Theatre Company and to bring lesser known pieces to the forefront of musical life in London!
Sarah has been working in the theatre industry for almost a decade! She first started as a Digital Drawing and Design Apprentice at the National Theatre which helped jump start her career and has led her to work in various West End theatres, opera & ballet, touring shows, television and live events. She most recently worked on SIX as a Scenic Draughtsperson [under OCTheatrical] working closely with the design team for Broadway and West End transfer in 2020. Sarah values diversity and inclusion, especially within theatre and is a strong believer in equal opportunities. She is very excited to work with Festoon as she upholds the same values and is keen to share her talents with a local group and eager to get back to do what she loves best!
